This local SEO case study follows an anonymised kids gymnastics business. We fixed its website and SEO basics in July. Google Search Console clicks reached 98 in August.
JUNE BASELINE
Before we took over, the site received very little Google traffic. A public X update noted that the previous developer had done no basic SEO.
June showed 9 clicks and 647 impressions. In a Google Meet, the client explained those searches came from the business name and friends checking the site. He thought those searches might help Google show its pages. They did not prove new families were finding the business through local searches.

JULY TO AUGUST RESULTS
We fixed the full website and its SEO foundations in July. The interim July update showed 20 clicks, 741 impressions, 2.7% CTR, and 6.1 average position.
By August, the report showed:
- 98 clicks, up from 9 in June.
- About 2.1K impressions, up from 647.
- 4.5% CTR, up from 1.4%.
- Average position: 5.2 in June, 6.1 in July, 7.3 in August.

Clicks and impressions rose; CTR improved. Average position worsened from 5.2 to 7.3, so we do not claim average rankings improved. The screenshots show site totals, not which queries or pages drove them.
Google Search Console clicks count clicks from Google results, not unique visitors or booked trials. The August report also does not split brand searches from new local discovery. Google explains these metrics here. Query and page reports show what people searched; analytics or booking records show which visits became leads.
LOCAL SEO FOR SMALL BUSINESSES
For businesses in India, Malaysia, and Singapore, target real services and service areas. One broad page cannot match every city or customer query. See our SEO services in India, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore pages.
The client later reported a surge in new trials and asked how many people clicked the website. That feedback is promising, but does not prove Google caused every trial.
